The club

Founded in 1874, Cambridge University Cycling Club is one of the oldest clubs in the country.

Cambridge University Cycling Club is currently amongst the strongest university cycling clubs in the country. In recent years we have topped the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) cycling points table, coming second in 2011-12. Previously we have earned more BUCS points than any other Cambridge University sports club. Last year, we won the Varsity Match against Oxford - see the Varsity & Blues tab for details.

The club's competition priorities are the two annual Varsity Matches against Oxford - a 25 mile individual time trial and the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) championship races. Teams compete in all BUCS events, across the following disciplines: Hill Climb, Road Race, 10 Mile Time Trial, 25 Mile Time Trial, 3-up Team Time Trial, Downhill Mountain Biking.

As CUCC is a very old club, we've included some sections on club history with material dating as far back as 1874, but also with archived websites, newly opened up for public access, dating back to 1996. With such a long history, we have an impressive list of riders that we are very proud to call our alumni.
